Malaga has put an end to the curfew and the state of alarm with a massive outbreak in the streets of the historic centre, and the tourist sector faces the first phase of the de-escalation plan proposed by the Junta de Andalucía with enthusiasm and caution, as this new stage means a respite for the hotel and catering sector and nightlife, two of the sectors most affected by the pandemic, and two of the sectors that contribute most economically to the city of Malaga. There are many visitors and tourists who visit the city, being considered one of the most visited in the country, this has meant that Malaga has been very affected during the pandemic and so the end of the state, has been a great joy for both the people of Malaga and visitors, who have not hesitated to return to this city where you can enjoy countless experiences, always following the relevant security measures but returning to the normality so desired.
The Old Normal is back in Malaga
From now on we can once again enjoy long walks along the port, beaches and promenades of Malaga, extending our dinners and enjoying good cocktails in the pubs of Malaga, as there will be no curfew hours, a great relief to be able to live freely your experience in the city. Visitors from all over the region will also be able to come to the city. The capacity of restaurants, bars, pubs, events, cultural events, beaches and swimming pools will be less affected by the limitations. One of the great novelties of this phase will be the opening of discotheques and bars until two o’clock in the morning, although logically, with the same restrictions as for bars and restaurants, dancing will be limited to open-air areas and always with masks. What can we do?
We could not miss this great plan in the city, as there is nothing more characteristic of Malaga than a good espeto of grilled sardines in a beach bar. And now that we are back to enjoying the old normality, we recommend you to try some local delicacies and spend long after-dinner meals with friends. Some of these delicacies are porra antequerana, conchas finas, berenjenas con miel de caña, caldillo de pintarrojo and a fritura malagueña among others.
Another great plan that we recommend is to visit the wonderful beaches of Malaga where you can enjoy sunsets and even now with the end of the state of alarm you can see the stars until late at night. These are two beaches where you can do this great plan, the Faro beach in Marbella and the Malapesquera beach in Benalmádena, in the capital you can visit the Malagueta beach which is very close to the centre.
Stroll along Muelle Uno, an open-air shopping area that has become the trendiest part of the city. There are shops, restaurants, cultural events and beautiful views of the port. It is one of the places to visit in Malaga without fail.
If you feel like enjoying a sunset in Malaga with a good cocktail and a nice view of the cathedral, go up to the terrace of the AC Malaga Palacio, which even has a swimming pool, so the atmosphere is cooler. Entry with a drink costs 10€ but the views are priceless.
