In Malaga there are a multitude of beaches with excellent quality and which are perfect for sunbathing and relaxing, or to practice the many sports that can be done on a beach. In this blog we will talk about one in particular, the so-called Misericordia Beach.
The name of this beach is due to the location of a provincial asylum and hospice called Casa de la Misericordia, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century and is now the Civic Centre. Playa de la Misericordia has a length of 2000 m. and a width of 30 m., so there is plenty of space for tourists.
This beach is not to be envied by any other, as it has the Q quality mark, which is awarded to those tourist establishments that meet the minimum specific requirements demanded by the Spanish Tourism Quality System (SCTE) in terms of service provision. It also has the SICTED distinction, which is a project to improve the quality of tourist destinations with the aim of improving the experience and satisfaction of tourists. All these distinctions make us see that it is one of the best beaches in Malaga without a doubt.

One of the places we are going to talk about is the Automobile and Fashion Museum. This museum is dedicated to automobiles and fashion and has a collection of approximately 120 vehicles, 90 of which are on display. It also shows the evolution of haute couture in the 20th century through 7 exhibitions such as “Trilogy” or “Fashion Victim”. In addition, this museum is in the Top Ten Museums of Spain, and is the No. 1 in Tripadvisor’s ranking of “Things to do in Malaga”. For car and fashion lovers, this place full of elegance and glamour will be ideal.
However, if you feel like being in a quieter area, we recommend Parque del Oeste. Inaugurated in 1992, it is a 74.000 m² park where you can spend a very pleasant time contemplating the fantastic French garden and its beautiful ponds. In fact, in this place you can sit down to eat because it has tables and benches, as well as leisure areas where you can play sports.
Something curious that you will find in this park are the more than 40 sculptures of the German Stefan von Reiswitz distributed, who is the one who often went to the park when he travelled to Malaga in the times when it was still functioning as Cinema Garden.
These two sites that we have talked about have incredible values and if you are on the beach you can get to them in a few minutes, having a day that you will surely love.
