Legends and amazing stories

Our experience will begin in front of the Church of El Salvador, in the square that gives it its name. This square is characterized not only by its beauty but also by its atmosphere, always full of people with a tapa and a beer in their hands.

From there our guide will take you to the most beautiful corners of Seville, such as the Triana Bridge or Adriano Street, where the famous bullring of La Maestranza is located. In these places you will find two of the most famous tapas bars in the city, which have in their menu five of the most popular recipes of the land: potato omelette, tomato dressing with tuna, gazpacho, spinach with chickpeas and shrimp omelette.

All this will be accompanied by the famous Andalusian rebujito, made with manzanilla wine and soda, and after tasting this delicacy you will feel like a true Andalusian!

As if all this were not enough, and with a full stomach, the visit will end with a flamenco show on the banks of the Guadalquivir River.

All this will be accompanied by an expert and bilingual guide in English and Spanish, who will answer any questions you may have along the tour.

Legends and amazing stories

Seville is a birthplace of traditions and legends that we want to pass on to you on our night tour. The beautiful night of the city is not less than the day, so we want to bring you the most impressive curiosities of the history of an ancient city through the streets of the Barrio de Santa Cruz. The stories that have nourished the city go back to the Roman, Arab, Jewish, Christian ancestors, etc. These are the founders of a city that becomes much richer as the sun goes down. You will pass through orange trees, alleys, legends and old synagogues.

You will be able to join our visit at the Plaza del Salvador, right at the OWAY Tours office, the emblematic meeting point and starting point. From here we will go for a pleasant walk through the narrow streets of the Santa Cruz district, where you will discover through its main streets and squares the history and legend that lives in this old Jewish quarter. The Plaza de Doña Elvira, the Plaza de los Venerables, the Plaza de los Refinadores, etc; are some of the examples that you will be able to discover in this route, where in addition to its cosy urban street map that combines perfectly with its peculiar decoration of white fronts, you will find a whole literary myth around the figure of Don Juan Tenorio, the most famous seducer of all times. The first scenes of José Zorrilla's romantic drama are set in these spaces. You will become an accomplice to the love that Zorilla, who you will put a face on the monument that reigns in the Plaza de los Refinadores, describes in his literary acts.

The narrow streets of the old Jewish quarter also have outstanding spaces such as the Convent of San José del Carmen and its small museum of relics of Santa Teresa, Murillo's House Museum which today is the headquarters of the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco, the old synagogues that coexist today as the church of San Bartolomé or Santa María la Blanca, the Hospital de los Venerables with its heritage made by great artists such as Murillo, Velázquez or Valdés Leal, or the columns of an old Roman Temple. As you will see, our route aims to enter a neighbourhood with its own idiosyncrasies that will take you on a tour of a city full of historical and legendary wealth and rich in heritage.
