Albaicin and Sacromont

On this tour you will find the uniqueness of two of the most beautiful neighbourhoods of Granada, where culture is evident. 

Starting at the Plaza Isabel La Catolica, we will enter the heart of the Albaycín in front of the Alhambra. This is the oldest Moorish quarter in Granada, although it was also the first to be inhabited by the Iberians and Romans. Evidence of the Islamic presence can be found in unique spaces such as the 15th century Palace of Dar al-Horra and the Arab baths of El Bañuelo, which served as public baths for the Muslim community and have been preserved with good fortune. Its narrow streets and whitewashed houses lead us to visualize the richness of the landscape, we highlight the Mirador de San Nicolas, where in addition to appreciating the best views of the Alhambra, we can complete our vision with Sierra Nevada, the city and the Vega of Granada.

We will continue in the direction of Sacromonte, a gypsy quarter where the art of dancing, singing, clapping and rhythm is part of its history. We will highlight of our tour the caves that today have been converted into places for flamenco and that still have the essence of what it was. These limestone caves are located on a hill, so we will climb up to reach the different viewpoints of the city of Granada, such as the Abbey, a must-see enclave in Granada as this is the place where the remains of the martyr San Cecilio were found, a figure of great importance in the history of Granada. In our 2-hour tour through these neighbourhoods you will understand the essence of the people of Granada, how they have lived in a privileged environment.

We will complete our tour with cisterns, Mudejar churches and viewpoints, such as San Nicolás.
