Discover the Mysterious Seville

Seville is a cradle of traditions and legends. We will start our route from the Plaza del Salvador which was also known as the Plaza del Cementerio, as it was used as such until the 18th century. We will pass through the popular street Cabeza del rey Don Pedro where we will learn about the legend of the candilejo.

From here we will go to the Alfalfa quarter, the highest ancient area of the city, where we will discover the Roman origins with the Roman temple in Mármoles street, discovered in the 19th century.

We will enjoy a pleasant stroll through the streets of the Santa Cruz quarter, which originated as a Jewish quarter in the 13th century although it existed as part of the Muslim city before that, hence its labyrinthine character without any kind of order and with very narrow streets, which gives this beautiful quarter a very pleasant "microclimate" in summer.

We will continue our tour through the most famous squares of Santa Cruz such as the Plaza de Doña Elvira, the Plaza de los Venerables, the Plaza de los Refinadores, etc; which are some of the examples that you can discover on this route. In addition to its characteristic narrow streets, we will unveil the stories of some of its most illustrious neighbours such as Bartolome Esteban Murillo, the beautiful Susona or Don Juan Tenorio.

We will finish our route in one of the most emblematic places of the city, the Patio de Banderas de los Reales Alcázares where we will learn about one of the most famous legends of Seville, Pedro I el Cruel, the avenging king of Seville..
