The free tour of Granada

Enjoy our Free Tour through the historical centre of Granada. In this tour we will visit during 2.5 hours one of the cities with the most important Muslim, Christian and Jewish legacy in the whole West. Granada is a city that takes you back in time and has managed to preserve some of the most important monuments in the world.

We will start our Free Tour in Plaza Isabel Catolica, an emblematic place of the city where the statue of Isabel the Catholic rests accepting the proposals of Christopher Columbus before leaving for America. Queen Elizabeth was a decisive influence in a journey that would lead Columbus to the discovery of a New World. We will continue to the Corral del Carbónfrom the 14th century, one of the oldest monuments left to us by the Arabs as a warehouse for merchandise and merchants. Today it houses an interesting bookstore of the Andalusian Legacy and in its patio, it hosts concerts and performances especially in summer. Next we will arrive at the City Hall, an interesting historicist building from where we will reach two of the most relevant monuments of the city: the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel, which stands out for being the first Renaissance church in Spain and the resting place of Queen Isabella I of Castile and King Ferdinand V of Aragon.

The tour will continue through the centre of Granada in the direction of the Madraza, which was the first university in the city in 1349, became the Casa del Cabildo in 1500, then the library until it gradually changed its appearance to what is now the seat of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes Nuestra Señora de las Angustias. We will follow the course of the river Darro to get to the Paseo de los Tristes, a path we will follow to have some of the best views of the Alhambra. We are waiting for you at the most popular Free Tour in Granada!
