The Cathedral of Malaga, known as Manquita and one of the great treasures of Malaga. It is the highest cathedral of the region, from the Renaissance period. Discover why it is called Manquita and all the history and art that is contained in this Andalusian Renaissance jewel.

The Alcazaba of Malaga, this ancient Muslim fortress is one of the emblematic points of the city. With military character, this fortress was built between 1057 and 1063, at the base of Mount Gibralfaro. With one of the best views of the entire city, the Alcazaba will leave you open-mouthed

If that were not enough, in addition to vestiges of the Muslim and Renaissance periods, in Malaga we also find vestiges of Roman culture. Visit the Roman Theater, one of the the Roman Hispania symbol. Built in the 1st century, you can still see the bleachers and part of the orchestra, in addition, the stage has been reproduced to emulate the original.

Itinerary of the Complete Malaga Tour: Cathedral, Alcazaba and Roman Theater

This tour will take in the most important sights of the city. Starting at the Crystal Pyramid, we will go to the Roman Theatre, where plays are still performed today. We will go up to the Alcazaba to enjoy one of the best views of the whole city and we will continue our tour, passing by the Picasso House Museum, to see where one of Spain’s most famous figures was born. 

From there we will pass through one of the most emblematic streets of Malaga, Calle Larios. We will end our tour at the Cathedral, discover why it is called the manquita and learn about its history and construction.
