The free night tour of Cadiz

Join us on our Free Night Tour of Cadiz and discover the oldest city in the West under the cloak of night. Together, we will delve into its Phoenician, Roman, Muslim and Christian origins, which have made it a city with a long history of historical events that we would like you to be a part of.

We will start next to the town hall, in the Plaza de San Juan de Dios, emblematic place of the city and the old main square and central market of Cádiz. We will continue to the heart of the city, the Plaza de la Catedral. At this point, the Arco de la Rosa and the Church of Santiago share space with one of the most important monuments in Cádiz, the Catedral de la Santa Cruz sobre las Aguas. It is a spectacular building dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, where baroque and neoclassical styles are combined. We will continue our tour a few more steps to the Plaza de la Candelaria. Built on the site of a former convent, today it is presided over by a statue in honour of Emilio Castelar y Ripoll, a renowned politician, historian, journalist and writer.

Afterwards, we will visit Calle Ancha,, where elegant buildings and some of the main commercial shops are located. This is one of the most important streets in Cádiz, where you will also find the Church of San Pablo.

Finally, we will go to the Plaza de la Mina, where the old orchard of the Convent of San Francisco is buried and where the Museum of Cadiz is located.

We will finish our tour in the Alameda, a landscaped promenade where you will be able to appreciate the route of the old city walls while enjoying the tranquillity of the sea.
