Discover the city of Tangier, located about 17 km north of Africa. It is not only a different country, but a continent, a history and a culture totally different from the Spanish one.
Cross the strait on a ferry and enter this historic city. We will start our tour in the old city, from the top of the medina, Kasbah. From here, our guide will take us through the narrow streets of the medina and the special souk shops, full of Arabic handicrafts. Afterwards, we will discover the Mendoubia gardens, where we will enter the palace and learn how it has functioned throughout history.
We will stop at the necropolis of Roman character, where there will be free time to shop and wander around the souk. If after this tour you are hungry, don’t worry, towards the middle of the day, we will stop for lunch and taste some of the typical dishes of the region, such as harira soup, beef kebabs, couscous, tea or cakes. All this with live traditional music playing in the background.
We will stroll back to the port of Tangier and catch the return ferry, which will take us back to the port of Tarifa. Come on this adventure with us and experience a special day getting to know the city of Tangier.
The excursion starts in the morning at the port of Tarifa. We will spend an amazing day walking through the streets of Tangier and learning about this unique city. The whole tour lasts about 8 hours. The ferry journeys are not very long, lasting approximately 50 minutes each way, although it may take a little longer to depart, due to boarding controls.

Vers midi, nous nous arrêterons pour déjeuner, puis nous poursuivrons la visite jusqu’à ce qu’il soit temps de retourner au port et de prendre le ferry.

Maritime station of the port of Tarifa
By bus there are direct connections from the main cities in the province of Cadiz and from Seville. If, on the other hand, you prefer to go by train, the nearest station is 20 km away, in Algeciras. To get from Algeciras to Tarifa, there are buses that connect these two towns in Cadiz.
By car: the port of Tarifa is located in the south of the town and is well signposted. You can get there from the N-340 from Algeciras or from Cadiz. From Seville it is just 2 hours by car, while from Cadiz it is approximately 1 hour. There is a 24 hour car park in the port itself. There are also several car parks nearby, where you can leave your car for the duration of the excursion.
