Trip to Gibraltar from Malaga

One of the trips not to be missed if you are on holiday in Andalusia is a visit to Gibraltar, a little piece of Britain connected to Cadiz, an experience worth discovering from the outside as well as the inside.

If you want to see the mix of British and Andalusian culture, don't hesitate to take this trip. It is recommended for people of all ages, to do with family, friends, as a couple or on your own.

Gibraltar is a city of about 5 km long and 1.2 km wide, it is connected to the city of La Línea de la Concepción, in the province of Cádiz. It is therefore very easy to reach from the Spanish mainland. However, although it is very close to Spain, it belongs to the United Kingdom.

Once there, we will walk along the main street: Main Street. You will have free time to explore it at your leisure. There are a lot of shops that are exclusive as they are British. Others are international brands and some even sell Spanish products. You will be able to buy all kinds of products, both for yourself and as gifts, and you won't find them anywhere else! And the advantage is that they are tax free, so it will be cheaper. Don't forget to prepare your pounds beforehand. Although most establishments accept euros.

Another of the most popular activities there is to visit the Monkey Lair area. It is located in the Cueva de San Miguel. Don't hesitate to take pictures of the famous Gibraltar monkeys and enjoy the incredible views of the Bay of Gibraltar and North Africa.

Finally, if you have time to spare, check out Casemates Square. There you will find local craftsmen and the oldest professions such as the typical glassblowers.
